Our Services

UTcme and the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) Office of Continuing Education are committed to providing lifelong learning opportunities that enhance the clinical competence and professional development of physicians and other health care professionals. To carry out this goal, UTcme sponsors a wide range of continuing educational activities:

• Symposia and other live educational activities
• Grand Rounds and other regularly scheduled conferences
• Enduring materials, including printed monographs, audiotapes and videotapes, CD-ROMs, and Internet-based materials

Accreditation

As an ACCME-accredited organization, UTMB can designate a continuing medical education activity for AMA PRA category 1 credit. Additionally, we can provide other types of continuing education credit for nurses and other health professionals via specialty societies such as the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses.

Support Services

The UTMB Office of Continuing Education also can provide various support services, including event planning and management, selection of faculty speakers, and advance consultation to enable compliance with accreditation guidelines.
