Our mission is to improve the quality of health care through excellence in the education of students, physicians, and the public. The economic climate, with constrained resources, provides daily challenges to success in achieving this mission. It is critical for academic administrators to be able to address management issues, carry out divisional and departmental initiatives and provide leadership to the faculty, trainees and staff of their academic department. Therefore, as an extension of that mission, it is important that we commit to empowering ourselves with the tools and knowledge required to be successful physician leaders.
